Thickness of leather
It is very important parameter that you should know,when you want to buy leather. Because you can’t split big pieces of leather, for elegant women shoes upper, you need to buy leather with thickness of 0.9-1.1 mm.
For lining it is better to use leather with thickness of 0.8-1 mm.
So before you will decide where to buy leather, check the full description of the leather before you buy it, specially if you do it online.
Type of leather
For elegant women shoes I recommend to use full grain leather :
calfskin, baby buffalo skin, goatskin for upper and for lining.
For lining you can also use the pigskin with good quality.
